U.S. Soldiers need our help

Why Help?

Our men and women in uniform are serving where they’ve been told to serve and they doing what they’ve been trained to do. After giving it their best effort through blood, sweat, tears and personal sacrifice, our heroes are being told they must do it more and do it longer as a result of stop-loss and extended deployments!

To better comprehend what our service men and women in theatres of war are being asked (ordered) to do, we are publishing here a REAL LIFE PLEA FOR ACTION that might help you understand the impact stop-loss and extended tours of duty has on our military personnel.

HOW YOU CAN HELP!

OUR GOAL

On behalf of the men and women in uniform who have had their deployments extended or are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan as a result of the stop-loss resolution, we believe that they should be compensated above and beyond their normal paychecks. Operation Soldier Assist (OSA) will lobby for three times the normal rate of pay for soldiers that are serving under these conditions. Our troops are serving above and beyond their agreed upon military contracts and they should be compensated accordingly

OUR PROPOSAL

Mandate leaders to release our deployed military servicemen and women from stop-loss and/or troop extensions as soon as possible. These heroes in uniform have fulfilled their obligations and Uncle Sam should be required to do the same.

Until they are released from active duty, Washington must secure immediate financial relief and additional benefits for our troops! It’s the least we can do on their behalf. For those who are currently serving in war zones, that relief should be retroactive from the time that they should have been honorably discharged from their station of duty or from the time that they should have returned home from their deployment as scheduled.

“The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer. ”

WHO ARE WE?

  • We are moms and dads and husbands and wives of soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are sisters and brothers, neighbors, uncles and aunts. We are fiancés, and children of those that serve on our behalf. We are American citizens that recognize the cost and the sacrifice that our heroes in uniform bear every day that they are away from home. Operation Soldier Assist seeks to encourage Washington to recognize our heroes in uniform.
  • We pledge to do all we can to get Uncle Sam to treat our brave warriors with the respect, pay scale and financial benefits that they deserve. We will promote these benefits with a national ad campaign using television, radio, magazines, direct mailings and any other means necessary to inform the public of our obligation. The costs of this campaign will be high, but the demands placed on our heroes in uniform are higher yet. They need your help.
